FACILITIES & SERVICES

Gander International Airport has modern amenities to ensure a comfortable trip. YQX has a spacious terminal designed to accommodate 350 people, with a comprehensive series of exhibitions detailing Gander’s legacy in aviation.

For traveling parents, our washroom facilities are equipped with changing stations and a private nursing area in the women’s washroom.

For persons with disabilities, wheelchair service and temporary escort passes are available. Please check with your airline’s customer service agent upon arrival.

This plan commits Gander International Airport to an inclusive, barrier-free environment, meeting Accessible Canada Act requirements to enhance the passenger experience.

EATING & REFRESHMENTS

UNION EAST

Union East is a gastropub located inside historic Gander International Airport, but is anything but an airport restaurant with dedicated parking for non-travelling patrons.

Union East hopes to capture guests’ hearts and stomachs with celebrated fresh and local food.

More fun dining than fine dining. Union East is about elevated comfort food, from fish tacos to smash burgers, with plenty of local beer on tap.

GANDER GOODS

Located near the Union East + Drinks entrance on the south side of the terminal. Access through the Union East hallway or from inside the International Lounge.

Gander Goods focuses on locally made art and handcrafted items. We carry a wide range of souvenirs, sundries, sweets, snacks, aviation swag, treasures, textiles, trinkets and more – free parking for patrons. Shop online at their website.

LOST & FOUND

In the event you arrive without your luggage, proceed directly to your carrier to file a lost baggage claim.

As well, we advise that prior to checking your bags you should ensure that each piece of luggage has identification attached to it. In the case of missing luggage, this may help the airline retrieve your items.

Gander International Airport’s parking structure is divided into metered and paid lot sections. All parking lots are surface lots (open air) and are security patrolled 24-hours a day by the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires. Metered parking rates are $1 per 30 minutes. A minimum purchase of $1 is required. The meters accept coins only.
