Employment Opportunity: Mobile Device Operator (Winter Heavy Equipment Operator)

The Gander International Airport Authority Inc. is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Mobile Device Operator (Winter Heavy Equipment Operator) for the upcoming winter season.
Qualifications and Experience

Demonstrated experience operating a range of heavy equipment, including front-end loaders, speed plows, and tandem-axle dump trucks.

Proven experience in snow and ice control operations.

Knowledge of and experience with routine equipment inspections and basic operator-level maintenance.

Possession of a valid Class 3 driver’s licence with air brake endorsement.

Proof of high school graduation is required.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and willingness to work shift work, weekends, and overtime as required.

Must be able to obtain a valid Radio Operator’s Licence.

Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Transportation Security Clearance.

May be required to complete Airport Firefighter Certification training.
Position Details

Duration: 16-week seasonal position.

Reporting To: Field Foreman.

Salary and Benefits: In accordance with the current collective agreement.
